Stars Night

Stars Night - August 4, 2025 from 8pm to midnight

On the 4th of August, embark on magical evening themed "Oceans of the Sky"!

Did you know? From Space, our planet looks like a blue pearl floating in immensity. 2/3 of its surface is covered with water and a thin atmosphere protects it. Our planet shelters an abundant life, the only form of life we know of in the Universe. Water is not only to be found on Earth, but it is also everywhere in cosmos, in star clouds, on Jupiter and Saturn's frozen oceans, and in the remotest nebulas.

This second edition links those celestial oceans to seaplanes, these hybrid ships, shifting between sky and sea. In the days of the great crossings, pilots studied the stars to navigate and orientate themselve: the Sun at day time and the stars at night, they worked as lighthouses in the immenseness of the unknown. Many seaplanes were given names inspired by constellations, like a tribute to these celestial guides.

Just like the pioneers who took off from the lake to explore the sky, you too can embark on a poetic voyage among the stars, in the heart of an exceptional historic site.

To celebrate Stars Night, bring your amazement further by visiting the museum, which will be opened from 8pm to 10pm and navigate amongst the stars thanks to a quizz game.
