Tour the museum with a guide

Our museum, the only one of its kind in Europe, is located on the shores of Lake Biscarrosse and Parentis, on the site of the golden age of seaplanes.

During your guided tour, which takes about 90 minutes, our guide will narrate the history of seaplanes around the world, from pioneering models to the most recent machines. As you walk along, you can admire archival documents, personal keepsakes, spare parts, and genuine, fully renovated seaplanes.

Our team is committed to preserving this heritage, along with the production techniques inherent to the industry.

Individual guided tours

You are an individual and you wish to experience a private guided tour of the Museum or with a group of less than 10 person ?

Commented visits, lasting aproximately 1 hour and a half, in French only, are proposed to visitors from June to September, on Thursdays without any prior booking, see hours and dates below.

Group guided tour

You are part of a group of more than 10 people and you wish to plan a guided tour of the Musée de l'Hydraviation ?

You can book for a group visit of 10 people minimum and maximum 25. From September to December only, and then from February to June, Mondays excepted.

Sensory guided tour

The Museum team can adapt its visits to your specific needs.

We can offer you to take part of a sensory visit (calling to your senses, touching, smelling, etc...) lasting approx. 1 hour and a half, in French only. They are offered to visitors with special requirements and health conditions, booking is needed. See hours and dates below.

Guided group tours are available in French, English or German. Prior booking is required. Group reservations, with or without a guide, must be made at least one month before the planned date of your visit.
