Seaplanes have always been synonymous with new stories to tell and new accounts to relate. The Musée de l’Hydraviation in Biscarrosse, on the site of the old Latécoère base, gives you the chance to discover the various facets of seaplanes, which you may know as “air liners” or because of the Canadair model.

A new temporary exhibition every two year

Our temporary exhibition, which changes every two years, always highlights some of the unique aspects of the history of seaplanes: the saga of aircraft transported in pieces from Toulouse to Biscarrosse, seaplanes during the interwar period, the exploration of remote regions using seaplanes, and the list goes on.

International Seaplane Meeting in Biscarrosse

Every other year, Biscarrosse, the European capital of seaplanes, hosts a gathering of seaplanes and ultralight seaplanes from the four corners of the planet, at the historic Latécoère site. On the program each year: a free air show, exhibitor stands, a look inside seaplanes and tours of the museum.
